Black Horse Equestrian announces: The acquisition of "Phoenix Roughe" - a stunning 3 yr old Friesian mare by the star stallion, "Anslan of Honor Bright", and the purchase of "Zensational BHF" - a yearling Friesian colt from Oregon.
Also the sale of "Moonlight Pearl", a BHF Andalusian x Arab mare in foal to "Abacus UNO"..to Kesha from Ohio. "Kali", now in foal to Abacus Uno" - the sale in utero of her unborn foal. Congratulations, Diane from CA.
NEW FROM MYSTIC OAK RANCH AND MICHELLE DODGE
Life is busy here with foaling, breeding, and showing! So a little update..
First, Cadence showed at 3rd level last weekend at a big 3 day show at Starr Vaughn. There were 4 or 5 rings, lots of big name pros, many judges came and showed, huge FEI Junior Rider class, it was a fun show to be at. I had my trainer ride Cadence, since we bumped up to 3rd level, and got 2 scores at 63% and one at 64%, and was in 2nd or 3rd place each time (big classes too) Judging was strict, so we were very happy with those scores and placings.
Then, Androcles (Andy) has been under saddle 5 weeks now and doing quite well! I sent him up to a place that specializes in starting youngsters, and they love him. He's got enough sensitivity to be fun, but has a personality that just wants to please and work with people..very different than the Warmbloods they start all the time. I told them that is the Friesian mind coming through. He'll be home in 3 weeks and we'll get him focused on dressage a bit.
We have 5 foals on the ground and one more on the way! They are:
"Odessy", 3/4 Friesian by Cadence and out of purebred mare. He is already sold.
"Evangeline", 1/2 Frieisan, half Warmblood, full sister to Jackson, and half sister to Androcles. I'm not sure I want to sell her as she is the first filly by this mare.
"Raphael", by Cadence and out of Morgan sporthorse. We got a tri-color little boy! He is a real love bug.
"Matisse", out of Caty, a Friesian/WB cross and by Sempatico.
"Halle", by Cadence and out of a big Paint sporthorse mare.
Our final baby of the year is by Cadence and out of our Wolkensterin II (Hannoverian) mare. It is due mid-June. All foals are for sale.
