The Friesian Sport Horse Registry recognizes 25 to 100% Friesian. Stallion owners must sign the registration application verifing that their stallion did indeed breed the mare on the application. In this day of transported semen, it is necessary for the stallion owner to verify each breeding.

Proof of Friesian blood is required. Registration of the non-Friesian pedigree is not necessary. Mares without registration papers should indicate what type of horse they are..example: QH type, draft cross and ect.
The stallion and mare's pedigree appear on the registration certificate.
Horses are entered into the computer by their registration number, so duplication of names is not a problem.
